Our Church

We are a loving, caring, friendly, and united congregation (John 13:34-35).  Visitors are always welcome at our services.  You will never be singled out and made to feel uncomfortable.  You will find a church family who loves you, and would love for you to be a part of our family.

Our church family wants to be the church Jesus built (the church we read about in the Bible).  Therefore we strive to do exactly what the first century church did, and teach exactly what they taught.

We know if we do or teach differently, then we will be different.  If we do and teach the same, then we will be the church that Christ established.  We call ourselves the “Loretto Church of Christ,” not in a denominational sense, but to simply give honor to the One who deserves it.  He shed His blood to purchase the church (Acts 20:28), so we are simply recognizing that we are a church that belongs to Him.

We can be the church of Jesus Christ by not adding to and not taking away from his word (Revelation 22:18-19).  Therefore we have no creed but the Bible.  We have no earthly headquarters, because the only headquarters of the New Testament church was in heaven where Christ sits at the right hand of God.

We take the Lord’s Supper and give to God every Sunday (Acts 20:7 and 1 Corinthians 16:1-2).  We worship God in song without the use of instrumental music (Ephesians 5:19).  We try to worship in spirit and also according to the truth of God’s word (John 4:24).
